Around 55 kilometers of cycle trail is connecting the idyllic mountaineering village Lunz am See and the tower city Waidhofen. As a start, finish or middle stage, Waidhofen an der Ybbs offers a multitude of services, bike-friendly businesses and transfer options. The leisurely route alongside the Ybbs river is particularly suitable for families.

Ybbstal Cycle Path route through Waidhofen

The main train station is a recommended starting point or destination (parking options can be found here). From there the path leads about 1 km along the railway tracks to the old town and via the Schlossweg to the upper town square. Then it goes past the city tower, through the "Ybbs" tower to the "Zeller Hochbrücke". From there the way leads through the town until "Lokalbahnhof" into "Pocksteiner" street, from where on you can comfortably follow the path straight ahead.
