The cosy Almhaus at Hochbärneck offers space for up to 150 guests. In summer, you can dine well in the guest garden with a view of the cows on the adjacent alpine pasture. The landlady serves hearty home-style cooking. On particularly hot days, the 150-year-old lime tree provides shade. The children's playground, alpine garden and viewing platform make the Almhaus Hochbärneck an attractive destination for the whole family.
Bus groups are also welcome at the highest entry point to the Ötscher-Tormäuer Nature Park at any time. There are 5 double rooms and 14 mattress campsites available for overnight stays. From May to October, guided hikes with a nature educator on the topic of "The alp and its views" take place every 3rd Saturday of the month. Meeting point is at 14:00 at the Almhaus.
