FREIWILD is attractively different!
With a lot of flair and love for traditional costume, the young designer Christa Steinauer and her team launched the label FREIWILD in 2010. In the traditional costume factory in Waidhofen an der Ybbs, materials such as silk, cotton, tweed and hand-printed fabrics have since been modified in a modern and individual way as the basis for a fresh "folklore and romantic style".
Whether dirndl, dress, janker or lederhosen - all pieces, which are handmade with love for detail in the in-house manufactories and produced in small series, meet ecological standards. Thus, in the studio of Freiwild Design in Waidhofen an der Ybbs mainly Austrian and European fabrics are processed. New favorite pieces are constantly created, which are worn every day or even on festive occasions. Wedding dirndls and matching groom's gilets are also made individually on request.
The new, young line of Eisenstrasse costumes presented in September 2020 was also designed by Christa Steinauer and is available for men and women directly from the Freiwild manufactory.
The fashionable traditional costume clothing can either be tried on site at the flagship store in Waidhofen an der Ybbs (individual advice included, of course) or ordered quite practically via the online store.
