Hochkar ski area

Ski area / lift

Description

Snow guaranteed & family friendly

It is not for nothing that the Hochkar is regarded as the most snow-sure and highest situated alpine centre in Eastern Austria, as it lies at 1,300 to 1,800 m above Göstling/Ybbs. Every winter, the varied slopes attract numerous winter sports enthusiasts to the "Kar". But children also feel at home on the Hochkar: they can make their first attempts on skis in the Kinderland.

"Freestyle Mecca" of the Eastern Alps

The Hochkar is very popular among freeride fans and backcountry junkies: whether "Karwand" or "Leckerplan": All powder fans can really let off steam on the Hochkar - without having to hike for a long time. Even experienced high-carat riders will always discover new elements (rocks, trees, etc.) that can be used as backcountry kickers.
