Lake Lunz

Swimming site / lake

Description

It is the sea of the Lunzer. Its deepest point is 34 metres. Its dream shape (1,700 metres long and 500 metres wide) offers plenty of space for sunbathing, swimming and strolling. It is the only natural lake in Lower Austria and has a water quality of grade 1.

A 4,000-square-metre sunbathing lawn, a diving tower, table tennis and a well-run buffet await you at the lido. If you prefer to steer instead of swim, it's best to go to the boat rental. In short: you have to "see" this lake! Summer freshness like in the old days, reinterpreted.

Since 2004, the lake has also been the backdrop and setting for the Lunz lake stage. During the day, the stage is a jumping tower and sunny island, while in the evening it is transformed into a unique cultural venue.
