Chalet Schober belongs to the farm of the same name in Hochreit in Göstling/Ybbs and impresses with its secluded location, which is characterized by numerous hiking opportunities, for example at the high moor Leckermoos or to the Schwarzalmhütte and the Ringkogel.
The chalet, newly built in 2021, combines modernity and tradition. Absolute highlights are probably the barrel sauna and the covered terrace, from which there is a captivating panoramic view of the mountains of the Ybbstaler Alps. Two covered parking spaces and a lockable storage room for skis and bicycles provide special comfort. In three bedrooms there is enough space for the whole family. The detailed furnishings, which are strongly characterized by wood, make the chalet particularly homey and an absolute place of well-being.
In the Ybbstaler Alps there is something to discover in every season. In summer, the not far away Lunzer See and the clear Ybbs river invite you to swim. On the snow-sure skiing area of Lower Austria, the Hochkar, guests draw their swings in winter. Cross-country skiers explore the trails on the Hochreit plateau and snowshoe hikers trudge through almost kitschy winter scenery. The off-seasons are perfect for hiking - families stroll along the Leckermoos, the more demanding climb the highest mountain in the Mostviertel, the Ötscher, over the Rauhen Kamm. The bad-weather program ranges from swimming in the Ybbstaler Solebad to exploring the Haus der Wildnis in Lunz am See to visiting the cultural city of Waidhofen/Ybbs and the associated 5-Elements Museum.
